A LIFESTYLE FOR YOUR RETIREMENT
Leith Park is a thriving, tightknit retirement community, where our residents’ wellbeing is our priority. Feeling safe, content and well-connected is often the first thing that many individuals and family members express as their greatest wish. We do our very best to ensure that you and your family have complete peace of mind.
It’s a village where you can live the lifestyle you have always wanted for your retirement. You can be as busy and active as you want, or slow down and enjoy an easier pace.
Take part in community activities, explore the gardens and other amenities that Leith Park offers. Our village community hall is where residents come together to relax, meet with friends, participate in games or enjoy a drink and share a meal in an outdoor patio area.
Our active residents’ committee puts together a fulfilling activities program with an expansive selection of activities that includes various events and outings, especially around holidays such as Christmas, Easter and Melbourne Cup Day.
Leith Park is 500 metres from the St Helena shopping complex, and approximately 3.5 kilometres from Greensborough and Eltham. The village has its own minibus to transport residents to and from the local shopping and community centres.View Map
Leith Park offers 118 self-contained independent living homes where residents can maintain their privacy and independence with the reassurance that help and support is available upon request.
There are 15 two-bedroom homes and 103 one-bedroom homes each with a laundry, modern kitchen, bathroom and living/dining area.
Affordable meals are available seven days a week for residents who live independently.
Liscombe House is our aged care facility located at Leith Park, allowing our residents to move seamlessly from low to high care should their needs change to require more specialised care.
These facilities are to provide accommodation and specialised care for our residents who are no longer able to live in an independent or assisted living environment.
Liscombe House is a bright and modern 81-room residential aged care facility that includes one respite room and a 12-bed dementia specific facility.
Each bedsit has its own ensuite facilities and is light and airy.
The dementia-specific facility is staffed by carers who are trained in dementia care.
Currie Wing is a 30-bed high level care facility providing quality care for residents who have been assessed as needing high level care.
Sensory gardens: This facility incorporates five sensory and communal gardens where residents can enjoy a range of activities.
The gardens are a feature of Leith Park and are set amidst a canopy of native trees synonymous with the Eltham/Greensborough area. Our gardeners plan and expertly tend to the beautifully landscaped grounds and will assist and advise residents with their own private gardens.
The on-site maintenance staff respond to residents’ maintenance requests and ensure homes are maintained to a high standard.
The Leith Park community hall is the venue for a range of social gatherings and functions.
Residents are encouraged to join interest groups including the Activities Committee which hosts a wide range of activities and outings. The Residents’ Committee provides an alternative forum for residents to express ideas or concerns about their living environment.
A dedicated team of volunteers provides social support, which includes accompanying residents to appointments, friendly visits and telephone contact.
What do I do now
CEO Phillip Wohlers has overseen some big changes at OCAV. But their model of personalised care and community building is something that won't change under his 'watch'.
